We have heard it over and over again. That Muslims don't condemn terrorism. Forget the fact that a simple google search will get you tons of hits with Muslims condemning terrorism all over the world: scholars and laymen.
This site contains a list of many scholarly statements and views from around the world.
CAIR site has 68 pages of Muslims around the world condemning terrorism

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have signed an on-line petition. The "Not in the Name of Islam" petition

Yet, we continue to be accused of remaining silent. The problem is not us, its the media. And that is why we have to use the blog channels and non-corporate-owned media to spread the word.
The latest addition to the condemnations is the statement by 20,000 scholars of the deobandi thought, who made explicit statements on the scourge of terrorism.
"It has regarded oppression, mischief, rioting and murder among severest sins and crimes. Islam prohibits killing of innocent people."
Another important point that the statement makes is to to disconnect terrorism from madrassas, because that is an unfair and often unproven stereotype:
"whenever there is any incident of terrorism, every possible attempt is made to link it to Muslims, particularly who have studied in madressahs. This is totally wrong.
